The adjunct crisis continues unabated

As the industrialisation of higher education continues, so the adjunct crisis runs alongside. The Chronicle says that HE is 500% more expensive than it was in the 80′s, but students are increasingly taught by underpaid adjuncts and TAs.  The effect of poverty on student learning is well known, but what about the effect of poverty on dedicated teachers?

This is a serious issue and I think that its important to recognise the extent of this problem…as adjuncts also exist in Canada, the UK and elsewhere..it’s not just a problem in the US.
